Write me poetry
In shadows cast by memories' weight,
I wander through the halls of fate,
Where laughter once, like sunlight, played,
Now echoes haunt, a ghostly shade.
Your eyes, once bright, now dimmed by night,
Reflect a world devoid of light,
Each whispered word, a fragile thread,
That binds the living to the dead.
I search for signs of who you were,
In fleeting glances, soft and blurred,
Yet every hope, like autumn leaves,
Is swept away by winter's thieves.
The clock ticks on, a cruel refrain,
Each chime a reminder of our pain,
The walls, they close, a tightening noose,
As silence screams of love's abuse.
Will we ever be the same again?
When time has carved its bitter stain,
And every promise, once so bright,
Is lost within the endless night?
I reach for you, but find the air,
A hollow space, a vacant stare,
The boy I knew, the man you were,
Now trapped in shadows, lost to blur.
I clutch the dreams we used to share,
Yet find them frayed, beyond repair,
The warmth of days now turned to frost,
In this cruel game, we both have lost.
So here I stand, a heart laid bare,
With questions lingering in despair,
Will we ever bridge this chasm wide,
Or drift apart, with nowhere to hide?
In every tear, a silent plea,
For what was lost, for what can't be,
And as the night consumes the day,
I mourn the love that slipped away.
So tell me, Father, in this pain,
Will we ever be the same again?
Or are we bound to walk alone,
In fractured dreams, forever prone
